Sophie is a British-German cellist celebrated for her remarkable artistry and breakout appearance in Todd Field’s Oscar-nominated film TÁR (2022), where she played the charismatic Olga Metkina alongside Cate Blanchett. She began her musical journey at the age of 8, later honing her craft at the Royal Academy of Music Junior Department (2014–2020), and is currently pursuing her studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. With performances at prestigious venues across Europe (including London’s Royal Festival Hall), Sophie is on a mission to make classical music both dynamic and accessible to modern audiences.
